Optimal and heuristic algorithms for the multi-objective vehicle routing problem with drones for military surveillance operations

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>During military operations, obtaining information on remote battlefields is essential and recent advances in unmanned aerial vehicle technology have led to the use of drones view battlefields. However, operations introduces new problem determining travel routes for drones. This type similar well-known classical routing problem, but main difference its objective function. For maintenance purposes, a minimized distances preferred. In addition, shorter route terms distance important. this research, we propose mathematical formulation an optimal algorithm suggest simple heuristic handle large size instance problem. The computational results indicate that can solve real-scale instances exhibits good performance even when large.</p>
